Colored a deep, purple red the Visadi has a very fine nose, graciously perfumed with notes of blackcurrant, plum, eucalyptus, and a bit of toast. It is warm and soft on the palate, velvety and fresh in the mouth. The tannins are delicate, and rounded by an intense and long finish. An excellent companion to red meat, pasta dishes, and medium aged cheeses.

Domenico Clerico’s Dolcetto d’Alba Visadi is always a deeply flavored and structured Dolcetto and the 2005 is no exception. A richly-colored violet, it presents explosive aromatics followed by vibrant sweet fruit and mineral notes with great length on the palate and a classy, stylish personality. A brief passage in oak gives this wine a little more body than most Dolcettos. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2010.
