Inky ruby. Powerful smoke-accented aromas of dark berry preserves, licorice, mocha and candied flowers. Plush and seamless on the palate, offering juicy blackberry and boysenberry flavors and a sexy floral quality. A vanilla accent adds sweetness to the finish, which clings with excellent tenacity and focus.

Score: 91. —Josh Raynolds, October 2013.

Wine Advocate

So let us commence with recent releases. The 2010 Termes is raised in 30% new French oak for 16 months before bottling in June 2012. It has a soft, mint-tinged bouquet with light dried rose petal tones. The palate is medium-bodied with a spicy entry, prickly red berry fruit, cedar and graphite originating from the oak. The finish is quite sharp with a dash of white pepper lingering on the aftertaste. This is a perfectly pleasant Toro red. Drink 2014-2018.

Score: 88. —Robert Parker, April 2013.
