Santa Carolina

Santa Carolina's Chardonnay Reserva owns a bright gold/yellow colour. It features an intense combination of fruity aromas such as pear, figs, pineapple and bananas. On the palate, this fruity, fresh and well-balanced wine features ripe tropical fruit and a soft, mild buttery texture, with hints of vanilla and toffee.

Wine Advocate

The 2010 Chardonnay Reserva spent 10 months in seasoned oak. Popcorn, pear, apple, and spice notes inform the nose of an easy-going, flavorful, balanced Chardonnay of moderate length. It will provide a modicum of pleasure over the next 1-2 years.

Score: 86. —Jay Miller, February 2012.

Wine Enthusiast

A little funky and sweaty on the nose, suggesting sautéed onions and baked apple. Oak comes into play on the palate, which is soft but just solid enough. Tastes sweet and woody, with vanilla, resin and pear flavors. Plump on the finish.

Score: 85. —Michael Schachner, December 01, 2011.

Wine Spectator

Light-bodied, with clean, crisp green and yellow apple fruit and a bright finish. Drink now.
