Casanova di Neri
The name Pietradonice comes from the land where the wine is planted, which is very rich in onyx. It is a wine which uses exclusively Cabernet and Sauvignon grapes: almost a challenge, to achieve a product which fully returns the flavour of the earth and its stone. If we add very low yields per plant and the climatic factor, we can see it - and we say this with a touch of conceit - as the wine which most tangibly represents Casanova di Neri. Pietradonice succeeds in reconciling international flavour with local tradition and, in the end, all the personality of Montalcino floods out.
This full, plump and generous Cabernet Sauvignon offers loads of ripe fruit, smoothness and intensity. If you love rich, sun-filled red wines from Tuscany, this is a perfect choice. The 2006 Pietradonice (Cabernet Sauvignon) explodes from the glass with the essence of blackberry jam, French oak, grilled herbs and cassis. This super-ripe, opulent wine offers tons of elegance and finesse in a full-bodied style. The tannins are firm but ripe, and beautifully balanced by the wine's radiant, warm fruit. This is very ripe, verging on raisin. Full-bodied, with chewy tannins and a lot of dried fruits on the palate, like fruitcake. Slightly overdone, but still likeable for its character and richness. Cabernet Sauvignon. Best after 2011.Score: 90. —James Suckling, October 31, 2009.

Biodynamic designation is regulated by Demeter, an international certification organization. Biodynamic agriculture is based on the view of a farm as a self-contained organism. Certified organic vineyards must meet Demeter"s additional criteria for a period of one year before earning the designation "biodynamic."
Sustainable practices incorporate organic standards and may exceed them and include ecologically and socially sound business practices such as fair pay for farm workers and energy conservation.
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.

If I rate a wine 95 points or more (A+), it is a must buy.
