Two Reds We Love To Sell!
The origin of Bodegas Juan Gil dates back to 1916, when Juan Gil Jimenez (great-grandfather of the present generation) became involved in wine and built a winery right in the heart of Jumilla. The grapes used for the Juan Gil Monastrell come from old vineyards (an average of 40 years) located in the northeast of Jumilla. This red is a customer favorite, and pairs beautifully with stewed meats and vegetables, mushrooms, poultry, red meats and roasts, as well as a variety of cheeses. This is a "serious" red wine, despite its everyday price. A wine we truly love to sell! And, for those of you who were away this summer and missed our email - we are once again promoting Bodegas Lan Rioja Edicion Limitada - now the 2005 vintage. The reviews have not yet come out, but we suggest you order now before they do! Once the review is out (and we assume it will be a good one given the ratings of the most recent vintages), the wine will sell fast. Hope everyone is having a spectacular summer! (and enjoying lots of good wine!)
