Mas Que Vino Ercavio Roble 2006 Both Wines Will be Arriving Tomorrow! Just minutes ago I tasted the Ercavio Roble 2006 with our sales representative. I have just three words to say: Awesome, Awesome, Awesome! Every now and then I get "stuck" on a wine - and this is one of those wines. Inexpensive, highly rated, and absolutely delicious - what more can I say? It is exactly the type of wine I just love to sell; one which I know will not disappoint, and I can recommend with tremendous confidence. It is a wine that will delight and impress both the connoisseur and novice. While it received a 91 pt rating from Jay Miller of the Wine Advocate, no tasting notes were given at this time. This is a wonderfully dense wine with great concentration and dark fruit flavors. Chewy, with a long finish, it is more "serious" than its pricetag lets on. This is a wine to try...and to stock up on. Put together a plate of cured ham, chorizo and manchego and you're all set! I strongly urge you to try this one... Another wine I love is the Cuatro Pasos Mencia 2006 from Martin Codax. It is on sale for $14.99, but it's special price of $12.99 by the case further enhances its value! The wine is from Bierzo, a DO northeast of the province of Leon. Mencia is the main grape varietal in Bierzo. Cuatro Pasos is 100% Mencia, elaborated from grapes chosen from 80-year old vines. This is a fragrant wine, with subtle aromas of wood. Earthy with wonderful fruit flavors, the wine is elegant and balanced in the mouth. Again, this wine has a great rating of 90 pts from Jay Miller of The Wine Advocate, with no tasting notes yet given. The wine is a perfect match for stewed and roasted meats, as well as pasta, pate and goat cheese. I always love to send out emails. Some get my enthusiasm "going" more than others. This is one of those emails, as I am excited to share these great finds with our customers!
