At Bastianich

Antonio Galloni from The Wine Advocate calls this wonderful bargain a "big, generouse white" and a "lush yet varietally true Friulano".

Time to try something new?
If you haven't yet experienced Friulano, now is a great time to start!

Friulano is the most typical white wine in Friuli, located in the northernmost region of Italy. This  indigenous grape has grown in Friuli for hundreds of years. The Bastianich Friulano is produced in the Colli Orientali area, known for its unique terroir where world class wines of Italy are produced.

This fresh, crisp, lively white comes from the Bastianich Winery, founded in 1997 by world-renowned restaurateurs/authors/celebrities, Joe and Lidia Bastianich. Two decades ago, Joe recognized the potential in the rolling hills of Friuli Venezia Giulia and is convinced these white  wines can compete with the best in the world. The wines speak of place, but also possess great power and balance. Winemaker Emilio Del Medico has been the winemaker since the very beginning, and is a native of Friuli.

The mouthwatering acidity makes this white the perfect wine to match with food. It is a classic match with Prosciutto, but will also work beautifully with seafood and fish, veal, pork and Asian/spicy dishes. This pleasant, soft-textured wine is a terrific value!
