Chateau Marjosse was bought in 1997 by Pierre Lurton, manager of Cheval Blanc. The Lurton family have been wine producers in Bordeaux since 1650. In the past several years, Lurton as winemaker and owner, has earned Marjosse much recognition. Marjosse is a small property, and is fast gaining attention as one of the region's best value wines. It is located in the heart Entre-deux-Mers, in the village of Tizac-de-Curton.
Marjosse is a terrific value from an historic vintage! Recently, Robert Parker commented that "2009 is the greatest vintage I have tasted in Bordeaux since 1982". This is a great opportunity to sample the quality of the vintage at an affordable price!
