"A tale of two Bordeaux...one that drinks beautifully now yet has 5-7 years of aging capability (l'Hospitalet de Gazin); and one that can develop in your cellar for 10 years yet, with a half hour in a decanter, will thrill you now (Clos les Lunelle)! Two beautiful Bordeaux to enhance your cellar!" - Chuck Russo, owner Wine & Spirit World
Robert Parker calls the 2009 Clos Lunelles "a gorgeous effort"! Parker also calls the property "a reference point for how terrific Cotes de Castillon wines can be".
The l'Hospitalet de Gazin is the second wine of Chateau Gazin, which sits adjacent to Petrus. The vines of l'Hospitalet de Gazin are treated with the same care as Gazin. For those of you unfamiliar with Gazin, it has historically been known as one of the great wines of Pomerol, and is clearly re-emerging as one of the top porperties of the right bank. l'Hospitalet de Gazin is distributed world-wide by the firm of Christian Moueix, Jean-Pierre Moueix.
PLEASE NOTE: The l'Hospitalet de Gazin is currently in stock. However, the Clos Lunelles is a "future" and has not yet arrived. I do not yet have an eta, but the 2009's have started coming in. Since it is a future, we would charge you for your order now and we will contact you as soon as the wine arrives. And, you will receive a hard copy of the confirmation in the mail.
FYI - There are only 6 cases of the Clos Lunelles available, so if you are interested, you might want to act quickly!
