Mer Soleil is a product of fruit from the Santa Lucia Highlands appellation of Monterey County. Mer Soleil is fermented in French oak barrels chosen from an array of coopers. The citrus aroma is often evident in the Mer Soleil Chardonnays, as the grapes and lemons are produced from the same soils and weather patterns. This is the result of the lemon orchards that surround the vineyards.
