Domaine Philippe & Vincent Jaboulet
With a bright ruby color, with violet glints, the wine has aromas of tart red berries, with a spicy note. The wine has a rich, supple character on the palate, with licorice notes and friendly tannins.
Food Match: Roasts, red meat, pizza, lamb, grilled meats, beef, BBQ.
Wine Spectator
Snappy and fresh, with lively red and black cherry fruit that quickly gives way to tangy mineral and floral notes. Drink now through 2008.

Wine Enthusiast
The most accessible of Paul Jaboulet Aîné’s Crozes cuvées, the 2005 Les Jalets offers smoky, herbal, peppery aromatics, crisp pomegranate fruit and silky tannins on the finish. It’s a solid introduction to Crozes-Hermitage in an early-maturing style.

Wine Advocate
The one-dimensional 2005 Crozes-Hermitage Les Jalets revealed herbal notes, red currants, high acidity, and considerable leanness and austerity.
Score: 86-88.
