The wine has a bright garnet colour. The aromas are characterized by black cherry, liquorice and dried herbs. The oak and fruit tannin has integrated to imbue the wine with a silky yet structured texture, allowing the flavours to persist on the palate. This structural and aromatic intensity will allow the wine to gain further complexity with bottle aging over the next 5 years.
Wine Spectator
Gamy, meaty style has firm texture and generous flavors, weaving ripe black cherry character into the mix as the finish persists. Best from 2007 through 2011.
