Domaine de Beaurenard Châteauneuf du Pape 2015
|Brand||Domaine de Beaurenard|
Wine SpectatorBeautiful, with dark fig, warm boysenberry reduction and creamed raspberry flavors accented by graphite, black tea and pastis notes. There's a healthy dose of well-embedded singed apple wood through the finish. Best from 2020 through 2040.
Wine AdvocateShowing a similar purity and elegance as the more expensive Boisrenard cuvée, the 2015 Châteauneuf du Pape is medium to full-bodied, nicely concentrated and balanced, with classic Provençal notes of black cherries, roasted herbs, garrigue and licorice. It lacks the finesse and tannin quality of the top cuvée, but it’s pretty darn impressive.
