Marojallia Margaux 2003
|Region||France, Bordeaux, Margaux|
Wine AdvocateA beautiful Margaux, the 2003 Marojallia exhibits notes of licorice, charcoal, graphite, black currants and flowers. This sensational effort may be one of the top two or three wines of the vintage. Still young and fresh with an opaque plum/purple color, medium to full-bodied flavors and terrific intensity, purity and equilibrium, this beauty is a testament to Jean-Luc Thunevin and Murielle Andraud. It should continue to evolve for another 10-15 years.
Wine SpectatorAromas of roses, berry and currant. Licorice. Full-bodied, with very fine tannins and a long, long finish. Very layered and seductive. A finely crafted red from St.-Emilion's Jean-Luc Thunevin. Best after 2008. 500 cases made.
