The The Sainte Claire Chablis expresses with a great deal of finesse the typicity of its Chablis soil: the Kimmeridgian. Made from Chardonnay grapes, this vintage expresses the singularity of our wines through its strength, precision and freshness.
Wine SpectatorPure and bracing, this white offers lemon, green apple and honey flavors. Balanced, winding down languidly on the earth-tinged finish. Drink now through 2020. 40,000 cases made.
Wine EnthusiastThis immediately attractive and fruity wine takes its name from the church next to the winery. It is soft with ripe white fruits that are cut by citrus, spice and vanilla flavors. Open and easy, it will be ready to drink from late 2018.
Wine AdvocateThe 2016 Chablis les Domaine Sainte Claire, which comes principally from vines located in Préhy and Courgis, is matured entirely in stainless steel. It has a crisp, straightforward bouquet with light marine scents emerging from the glass. The palate is well balanced with touches of white peach and bitter lemon on the entry. There is modest weight in the mouth and decent focus but it pulls up a little short on the finish. Hopefully it will gain more depth once in bottle.
