Wine AdvocateThe 2010 Nemea is an Agiorgitiko, of course, aged for one year in French oak (a mix of second- and third-use). It comes in at 13.3% alcohol. Dark and with a certain, roasted overlay, this is a rich and toasty Nemea with hints of maturity, but a full body and intense flavor. There have been several "regular" Nemeas that I have liked a lot in this issue-and what is particularly nice is their diversity in styles. It is not so much a matter of better than different at times. This is the one that hits you over the head with the big, ripe fruit and expressive flavor. To be sure, it is also the oldest and most evolved. It doesn't lack for structure, though. It is very refined, nicely supported and shows some finesse. The winery suggests that this can be held in bottle for around eight years. It may do better, but I suspect it won't really repay long cellaring. Dive in.

Wine EnthusiastSweet cedar, cinnamon and plum aromas are followed by plush and pretty flavors of black cherry, raspberry and plum. The wine offers a good acid balance and a spicy, bright finish. This should pair well with tomato-based dishes and lamb.
