Parusso Barolo Mariondino 2011
James SucklingA ripe style with berries, blackberries and spices. Full body, chewy tannins and a long finish. Concentrated style. Better in 2018.
VinousThe 2011 Barolo Mariondino is ripe, flashy and exotic. Kirsch, wild flowers, mint, cinnamon and plums meld together in a sensual, layered Barolo that captures the essence of the year. This is the most aromatically high-toned and racy of these 2011 Barolos from Marco Parusso. The sandy soils in Mariondino always yield intensely perfumed Barolos with distinctly red-toned fruit. There is plenty of that here.
