OTHERS is the new release from Dave Phinney's new winery and vineyards in Maury, France. The wine has a ruby, purple opaque hue with aromas of licorice, spring flowers, campfire, toast and sweet vanilla. On the palette there are abundant flavors of blackberry, wild berry, pepper and spice. Intense and concentrated with a persistent finish, the wine is ready to drink now and enjoy over the next 5 years. A blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Carignan.
Orin Swift Blank Stare Sauvingon Blanc 2017Pale yellow with a chartreuse tint, the wine opens with bright aromatics of lime zest, lemon, green apple and a touch of honey. The entry is refreshing with ripe pineapple and grapefruit, framed by a nervy backbone of satiating acidity. A mid-palate of white peach and a hint of pith melds seamlessly into a long, energetic finish of wet stone and key lime.
Orin Swift Palermo Cabernet Sauvignon 2016A dense plum, red visage brilliantly precedes the tasting. Multidimensional aromatics of cassis, currant, mulled dark fruits, and toasty barrique oak perfume the glass. Opulent and rich, the wine explodes with concentrated flavors of black cherry, ripe boysenberry, assorted dark fruits, kirsch, and a topnote of dark roasted espresso. A persuasive mid palate persists with freshness and closes with supportive tannins that are velvety and polished.
Orin Swift Machete 2016A brooding hue and viscous consistency, powerful aromas of crème de cassis, boysenberry, and ripe cherries are complemented by a soft minerality and hints of dark chocolate. Orin Swift Papillon 2016A vibrant crimson is present in the glass with a claret fringe on the rim. Luring aromas of currants, mulled blackberries, French vanilla, and exotic spices serve as an intriguing precursor to tasting. The opening is dense and powerful with extracted blue and red fruit flavors which leads to beguiling cassis, plum, and a hint of mocha later. The tannins are already so soft and suave which lends to early appeal and cellaring if one so chooses. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc.
Orin Swift Eight Years In The Desert Red 2017Heady aromas of brambly raspberry, black fig and peppercorn dominate; time in glass exposes more - dark chocolate, fennel and High Sierra forest floor. The palate is lush and opulent with blackberries, dark plums and currants. More flavors add to the quality of the blend - a visceral minerality and fresh Herbs de Provence. Fully integrated with puckering tannins, the wine bows out with finesse.

Locations NZ 7The base of our blend is comprised of fruit from vineyards in the heart of Wairau Valley, with its traditional passionfruit and crisp grassy flavors. It is complemented by the second wave of plantings in the ver expanding Awatere Valley, which is noted for the minerality and elegant characteristics the fruit gains from the region's proximity to the Pacific Ocean.
