The result of the Allegrini family’s expertise, a true classic of the appellation, this red wine embraces tradition, territory and the know-how of generations working the land. Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Oseleta are left to air dry at least until December and are checked daily to ensure perfectly healthy grapes. It is this technique of air drying the grapes that produces this unique wine.

Boasting an enviable combination of concentrated flavors and elegance, it delivers flavors of ripe black cherry, prune steeped in spirits, vanilla bean and licorice framed by enveloping fine-grained tannins. Wine AdvocateThe 2014 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico (a blend of 45% Corvina Veronese, 45% Corvinone, 5% Rondinella and 5% Oseleta with 120 days of appassimento) opens to a dark and robust appearance with dried fruit aromas, prune, blackberry preserves, spice, tar and sweet tobacco. The wine is full-bodied for sure, but this vintage is a little less intense in terms of construction and persistence. The mouthfeel is a little more streamlined, just by a hair, compared to a warmer and drier vintage.
