Jean Edwards Yates Family Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.
2014 marks our first offering from Mount Veeder and we're pretty excited about what we have in bottle! Yates Family Vineyard is located on steep slopes at the very top of Mount Veeder. It's a pretty and serene location but a little scary to visit - the road becomes one lane, there is no guardrail and one side of the road abruptly drops off amid giant redwoods. The 2014 Yates Cabernet Sauvignon is dark garnet with purple undertones in the glass. The nose is black cherry and blueberry pie, hints of allspice, and espresso/coffee notes. The mouth is a melange of dark berry fruit over a backdrop of toasted oak, cassis and a fine thread of dark chocolate. The wine finishes in balance with length and grace. Aged 22 months in French Oak (75% new).
