Christian Moreau Chablis Les Clos 2015
Wine AdvocateThe 2015 Chablis Grand Cru les Clos was very tight and perhaps the most leesy of the Grand Crus that I tasted from Christian Moreau. Grapefruit and lychee scents, a little hazy compared to the Valmur and Vaudésir. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, focused and tensile, quite steely for a Les Clos. I think this was not showing its best on the day, as Christian told me he had pumped the wine the previous week, so I will seek to revisit this once in bottle.
BurghoundA reserved and ripe nose features white orchard fruit and floral notes set off by deft touches of wood and citrus peel. There is excellent richness to the overtly powerful and concentrated medium plus weight flavors that possess ample amounts of dry extract that confer a textured feel to the impressively intense and mouth coating finish. This is a very good 2015 that should repay mid-term cellaring.
