Bergström Silice Pinot Noir 2014

Bergström Silice Pinot Noir 2014

We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.

The 2014 Silice Vineyard Pinot Noir has a very dark ruby color. This wine is robustly aromatic showcasing the sweet spicy and floral character that these silica-rich soils are known for with notes of: gingerbread, black licorice/anise, sweet violets, dark raspberry, red roses, black cherry and tar. The flavor profile is of sweet candied dark fruits enveloped in suave but copious fine grained tannins. Youthful and charming at the same time.

Wine EnthusiastCellar Selection. This re-named vineyard was formerly bottled as deLancellotti. You'll find striking minerality underscoring chunky black fruits. Accents of citrus and graphite comingle, with exceptional midpalate concentration. This is a wine to cellar, though it is already quite enjoyable. Drink now through 2030.

Wine SpectatorPeppery tannins drape around a supple core of blueberry, dark plum and spice flavors, hints of mineral and floral informing the medium-weight finish, which lingers easily. Best from 2018 through 2022. 700 cases made.

Wine AdvocateThe 2014 Pinot Noir Silice Vineyard had a medium ruby-purple color and is scented of fertile loam, game, sautéed herbs and tree bark over a core of warm cranberries, pomegranate and raspberries. Medium-bodied with a very lively backbone, it has a good amount of chewy tannins supporting the expressive fruit, finishing with an herbal lift.
