Gosset Grand Brut Rosé

Gosset Grand Brut Rosé

We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.

A blend of Chardonnay (56%), Pinot Noir Grand Cru (35%), underlined by the presence of Bouzy and Ambonnay red wines (9%). Reserve wines (average 2 years) ensure regular quality whilst preserving fruitiness, flexibility and balance. An original and beautiful vintage that is balanced and long flavoured . Color: A rose salmon color, intense, brilliant and clear. Nose: Small red fruits (red current, raspberry, cherry), characteristic of Pinot Noir. Mouth: Clear and vinous. Development of red fruit aromas (blackcurrant) on a spice backdrop (cinnamon). A fresh, lively and delicate flavor. Ideal balance between Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Matches: Aperitif, with pate pastry and crustaceans, blue cheese or red fruit based desserts.

Wine AdvocateThis reliable Champagne house produces a good non-vintage Rose Brut, and this moderately pink-tinged example reveals aromas and flavors of sweet strawberries, bread dough, red currants, and a hint of lavender. Vibrant and youthful, it should drink well for 4-5 years.

Wine SpectatorA round, rich style, with light berry and watermelon flavors reflecting off the vibrant structure. Picks up dough and chalk notes on the finish. Drink now through 2010.

Wine EnthusiastA lot of vanilla and cotton candy on the nose, and that's backed by sweet melon and strawberry flavors. Sweetness is a recurring theme, and although it's lively and has good mouthfeel, it's not as dry as we'd like. Best if you prefer a sweet-dosage style.
