A blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot and 7% Petit Verdot coming from Napa Valley (54%) and Sonoma County (46%), the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep garnet color with a hint of purple and is enticingly scented of chocolate covered cherries, warm mulberries, cassis and raspberry pie with touches of cedar chest, red roses, wood smoke and menthol. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is packed with fragrant earth and black fruit layers, supported by firm, grainy tannins and a lively backbone, finishing long with a minty kick. 5,945 cases were made.
The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon from Pride comes from close to equal parts Napa and Sonoma and checks in as 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot and the balance Merlot. Blackcurrants, smoked earth, chocolate, and tobacco leaf notes all flow to a medium to full-bodied, rounded, nicely concentrated Cabernet Sauvignon that has tons of fruit and texture, yet stays balanced. It has just a hint of oak but is already charming and delicious. Drink it over the coming 10-15 years.
This contains 6% Merlot and 7% Petit Verdot, the fruit from both Napa and Sonoma. Tight-grained tannins contribute a thick grippy midpalate of weight and texture before chocolate waves of dark cherry are complemented by dried herb and sage.
Plump and spicy, offering alluring flavors of dark berry jam, with floral and light cedar notes, ending a bit clipped. Drink now through 2028. 5,945 cases made.
