Dark cherry, concentrated blackberry, Asian spice and forest floor aromas are complemented by a broad and pliant texture and a mocha-spice finish. Black cherry, black tea and leather flavors all give this well-structured wine a wonderful combination of drinkability and ageability.

Jeb DunnuckAlso from the Green Valley portion of the Russian River Valley, from two separate blocks in the vineyard, the 2015 Pinot Noir MacLean's Block offers ample black cherries, exotic darker fruits, some toasty oak, medium to full body, and a lush, rounded, deep style on the palate. This cuvée sees a touch of whole cluster inclusion and is aged in 29% new French oak. Give this savory, rich, concentrated (masculine even) Pinot Noir a few years and enjoy over the following decade.

Wine AdvocateMedium to deep ruby-purple colored, the 2015 Hartford Court Pinot Noir MacLean's Block delivers wild blueberries, black cherries and anise notes with hints of violets, bay leaves and forest floor. Medium to full-bodied, the palate features red and black fruit layers accented by earth notions and framed with fine-grained tannins, finishing on a mineral note. 313 cases were produced.

VinousThe 2015 Pinot Noir MacLean's Block is even more impressive from bottle than it was from barrel. Bright and lifted, with terrific focus, the MacLean's deftly balances fruit intensity with structure. Whole clusters and elevation also add to the wine's savory and mineral-driven personality. I very much like the sense of energy here. This is a terrific showing from Hartford Court.

Wine EnthusiastVelvety and luxurious on the nose, this is named for the producers' son and is from a vineyard near the coastal town of Occidental. Dark cherry and chocolate travel along a smooth spicy thoroughfare of integrated oak and tannin, the body bold and full bodied. Forest pine and orange peel add complex nuances of aroma and flavor.
