Chasseur Russian River Pinot Noir 2015
Starting with the color of a shade or two short of ink this wine moves quickly to a kaleidoscopic of absolutely stunning aromatics of roses, dried orange peel and hints of powdered sumac. An imposing effort, from the first sip it is immediately clear that this is a big and powerful wine that possesses outstanding mid-palate density. Dark currants, black cherry, black raspberry moves to just short of plum that shellacs the pallet in momentous proportions and then moves on to a long brooding finish.
