Château-Larmande Saint Emilion 2011
|Region||France, Bordeaux, St. Emilion|
Barrel sample. Very concentrated, this has dark tannins and dense fruits. It has power, intensity and the essence of black plum skin.
Offers a perfumy, singed sandalwood and rooibos tea frame, with a core of raspberry, red currant and steeped damson plum notes. A sandalwood accent lingers through the elegant finish. Not big, but persistent.
A deep ruby/purple-tinged color is followed by an earthy, herbal bouquet backed up by some solid cherry fruit. In the mouth, the wine exhibits a more delicate, feminine as well as nice purity and texture.
