Résonance Vineyards Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2016
|Region||United States, Oregon, Willamette Valley|
Wine SpectatorPrecise and impressively structured, with refined raspberry, crushed rock and savory tea accents that take on richness and depth toward polished tannins. Drink now through 2024. 4,000 cases made.
VinousBrilliant ruby. Fragrant, spice- and earth-accented cherry and boysenberry scents show very good clarity and pick up hints of smokiness and cola with air. Sappy and incisive on the palate, which offers bitter cherry and dark berry flavors that show very good lift and energy. Sharply focused and brisk on the finish, delivering dusty, building tannins and lingering berry skin and cherry pit notes.
Wine EnthusiastThe entry-level Pinot from Maison Jadot's Oregon project, this is aromatically dense with baking spices, baby powder and incense. There's an interesting graininess to the mouthfeel, with tightly wound cranberry and raspberry fruit. The tannins are polished but retain a bit of astringency.
