Château Leconte Marquey Saint Emilion 2016
|Region||France, Bordeaux, St. Emilion|
|Brand||Château Leconte Marquey|
Located in the village of Saint-Hippolyte, the Chateau Leconte Marquey is a small estate of just 14.5 hectares.
This wine is assembled from 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, the components see 12-15 months in oak barrels.
Merlot provides flavors of red and blackberries, as well as roundness and opulence; Cabernet Franc is the epitome of finesse and elegance; and finally, Cabernet Sauvignon, with its refined tannins, allows the wine to age gracefully. The tannins are soft and inviting, allowing this wine to pair wonderfully with hearty fayre and a fine cheese board.
