A highlands scotch in the southernmost area just above the lowlands. Auchnagie was far inland so the peat is primarily composed of heather. The whiskey is light and almost floral, very easy to drink even as an aperitif. In Scotland it is known as a breakfast scotch which is perfect for those who are lactose intolerant. Auchnagie closed in 1911 due to tragic loss of their water supply
