Domaine Barat Chablis Côte de Lechet 2018
There is even better Chablis character to the super-fresh if reticent, cool and pure nose of citrus peel, iodine and a hint of mineral reduction. The richer and slightly bigger medium-bodied flavors that coat the palate with sappy dry extract while delivering fine length on the balanced and dry but not austere finale. This too should provide for lovely early drinking but also reward mid-term cellaring.
The 2018 Chablis Côte de Léchet 1er Cru has a high-toned nose, a little volatile compared to its peers. The palate is waxy in texture, lacking a bit of acidity, while the finish feels rather static.
