Lenny Kravitz elevates the iconic label by borrowing from the craft of goldsmiths to work hammered metal on the surface of the shield, creating a patina that lends the metal an inalterable contemporary vibe. The opening bouquet is complex and luminous, a mingling of white flowers, citrus and stone fruit. The overall effect is enhanced by the freshness of aniseed and crushed mint. The final aromas offered by the wine are starting to show spicy, woody and roasted notes. After a long period of reluctance, the wine is finally opening up. There is complete balance between the nose and the palate. Its slender, minimalist, pure, toned, athletic character is now also expressed with warmth. The fruit is pronounced and clear. The vintage's characteristic acidity is remarkably well integrated. Its persistence is mainly aromatic, grey, smoky and highly promising. The wine enjoys duality: warmth & freshness, meat & iodine pairings, cooked & raw. Spices enhance and accentuate 2008's effervescence and densify the wine. Dom Pérignon likes playful experiences: culinary art, textures, and matters.
Krug Brut Champagne 2004 750mlAt first sight, the beautiful light golden colour promises radiant freshness. The nose begins with an expressive bouquet of ginger, candied citrus and quince, followed by richer notes evoking lemon meringue tart, plum and mirabelle. On the palate, a very balanced Champagne with light notes of brioche and honey giving way to an array of fresh citrus, including oranges, lemons and mandarins, enhanced by a very elegant finish.
Louis Roederer Cristal Brut 2009 750mlA yellow-gold colour with mat and amber tints. Persistent, brilliant, fine and lively bubbles. A subtle bouquet, simultaneously discreet and concentrated. It releases notes of citrus compote and candied apricots and evokes the sweetness of honeysuckle. When aerated, notes of vanilla-edged cocoa bean emerge, with toasted hazelnut, hints of liquorice and even a touch of cinnamon. The palate is structured, energetic and sculpted. An initial dense, ripe and silky sensation is amplified by the discovery of a chalky, cherry freshness, a powdered, almost mentholated brightness. The feeling is delicate and ethereal, a succession of delicious and colourful textures perfectly integrated within the lightness and finesse of the wine... an invitation on a journey of discovery. The bright personality of Cristal then appears, simultaneously pure and sharp, in a finish focused once again on chalk, energy and grain. In this Cristal 2009 there is a genuine force of life, an invitation to pleasure, and at the same time great depth and crystalline purity.
Louis Roederer Cristal Brut Rosé 2009 750mlThe bouquet is both elegant and deep, with dark berries (blackcurrant) and fruits of the forest (blackberry, wild strawberries). There is also a hint of perfectly ripe Morello cherry. Reminiscent of concentrated tangy jam. The immediate effect on the palate is velvety, silky and enchanting - characteristic of the great Pinot noir from Ay, simultaneously intense with aromas and with a tight structure, all the while remaining delicate, subtle and ethereal. Cristal Rosé 2009 is grandiose, with the finesse and elegance of a prima ballerina!
Bollinger R.D. 2004 750mlTo The Eye: Bright and deep gold. To The Nose: Abundant stewed and candied fruits, accompanied by touches of sweet spice. With time, notes of mirabelle and preserved orange unfold in the glass. On The Palate: A grand generosity. Intense cooked fruit and tarte tatin flavours express themselves in a mouth that is full and harmonious. Food Pairings: Bollinger R.D. will enhance all great gastronomic moments. R.D. 2004 marries perfectly with the most re ned dishes, such as pigeon cooked pink or roasted scallops. The intensity of the wine makes it the perfect partner for an aged Gruyère or Comté.
Ruinart Brut Rosé NV 750mlThe color is a delicate pomegranate pink with very slightly orange reflections. The sparkling, light effervescence has a persistent foam. The nose is subtle and fresh, first offering an original palette of tropical fruits (guava and lychee) and small berries (raspberries, cherries and wild strawberries) in the first instance. These are followed by rose and pomegranate notes which complete the complex, intense aromatic profile, dominated by somewhat undeveloped primary aromas. On the palate the attack is distinct and full, cradled by a gentle effervescence. The aromas of freshly picked berries are fully expressed. The balance brings together a delightful freshness and voluptuous body, expressed by an elegant bracing touch of mint and pink grapefruit. Ruinart Rosé is a truly festive champagne, which is a delight to drink throughout a meal from aperitif to dessert. It will be enhanced by thin slices of fine Italian prosciutto (San Daniele, Parma, etc.). A starter of mi-cuit salmon, or salmon prepared as a Japanese "tataki", will reveal its many facets. For a main course, it will be an admirable accompaniment for a leg of milk-fed lamb or a low temperature cooked veal fillet. At the end of the meal it will find its full expression with a berry soup enhanced with an excellent Modena balsamic vinegar.
Ruinart Blanc de Blancs 750mlChardonnay is the very soul of Ruinart. The grape, mainly harvested from the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims terroirs, is at the heart of all our cuvées. At first very intense on the nose, with fresh fruit notes, particularly ripe citrus fruits. A second refined floral nose with notes of white flowers and fruits (white peaches, pineapple). A supple, harmonious attack on the palate, very rounded. Vinosity that is not excessive, supported by excellent freshness. Beautiful pale golden yellow color with gentle green reflections, a vibrant, luminous color. Active effervescence with a persistent release of bubbles.
Billecart-Salmon Brut Rosé 750ml BottleWith its subtle and gourmand aromas, this cuvée provides a reference point amongst rosé champagnes. It will bring real pleasure to your happiest moments with its sparkling colour, it's amazing finesse and its great intensity. A radiant colour with a sparkling intensity, entwined with a beautiful pale pink hue. An elegant visual ensemble bestowed with a graceful effervescence. Subtle and fine aromas, leading to a gourmand seduction of red berry flavours and citrus zest with an aromatic burst of great finesse which is both floral and refreshing. An outstanding tactile sensation with a creamy smoothness, which evolves into a very noble notion with a character of wild strawberries and a slightly raspberry finish. A harmonious and delicious equilibrium with a remarkable precision. It is the best accompaniment to any happy occasion, but also with a fillet of wild salmon or a carpaccio of langoustines. In terms of desserts, it will enhance the flavours of red fruits with an acidic crunch and only lightly sweetened.
