Domaine Thibert Pere et Fils Saint Veran 2016
(mainly from the south part of the region, in Leynes and Chasselas, which featured hail losses; aged in 50% small barrels but just 4% new oak): Bright straw-yellow. Slightly exotic apple on the nose, complicated by barrel spices. Shows more weight than the Mâcon-Verzé but less personality and flavor interest. A round, easy-drinking wine for early consumption.
