Tassi Franci Riserva Brunello 2011
A well structured wine with well evolved, soft and present noble tannins. Intense ruby red color tending to garnet. The bouquet is complex, the aroma intense and delicate with prevalent red fruit and hints of berries. On the palate it reveals great personality and superb taste.
The 2011 Brunello di Montalcino Franci is a fabulous achievement and a highly recommend wine for those shopping for Brunellos from this vintage. Like most of its peers, the wine is approachable at an earlier stage and is almost ready to drink straight out of the gate. The bouquet exhibits a tight embroidery of wild berry, Spanish cedar, crushed stone, balsam herb and licorice. The wine's aromatic integration is fine and balanced. This Brunello is softly textured in terms of mouthfeel with bold cherry and blackberry flavors. Fabio Tassi has done a great job portraying the vintage.
This is really delicious with dried fruit, tangerine and light toffee undertones. Full body, soft tannins and a fresh finish.
Good medium red. Heavily torrefacted notes camouflage the aromas of redcurrant, leather and woodsy underbrush. Dense, chewy, and soft on entry, but showing more underbrushy soil tones currently than higher-pitched floral and fruit flavors. Finishes with slightly dry, building tannins an a triufle austere on the long back end.
