This jewel-box of an estate, now owned by Julie and Xavier Gonet-Medeville, combines three plots (3h) within, and two plots (6h) just outside, the commune of Margaux. Their most important parcel is on the famous plateau du Moulin – a triangle (2h) surrounded on two sides by the vines of Chateau Margaux itself. No coincidence since the former owners, the Grangeroux family, were cellar-masters at the famous Chateau for three generations.
This wine offers classic Bordeaux aromatics of plums, figs, graphite, black currant and a touch of oak. This elegant Bordeaux features mature tannins that frame black fruit flavors. The wine is bold but approachable, offering plenty of body while offering an appeal to a broad audience. An incredible value, find notes of black cherry, fig, plum and graphite. A classic style Bordeaux at a spectacular price. 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc.
