This "crazy value" Napa Cab was sourced from a couple of top "Cult" wineries in the Valley (SHHH...their wines sell for between $75-150/bot!). Deep, rich and plush with classic Napa Cab fruit, it drinks like a wine costing 2-3 times as much!
2020 is back to 100% Cabernet, primarily from the Napa Valley floor but some fruit was sourced from St. Helena and Oakville, adding depth and structure to the wine.
This is one of the more approachable and generous bottlings that we’ve had in quite some time. Quite a fruit is expressive in the opening with ripe blue and black fruit components. The mid-palate brings more structure and depth with hints of pipe tobacco, graphite, and subtle oak, framed by slightly dusty tannins and the slightest hint of acidity. The finish has a good length with just a touch of heat.
Food Pairings: Burgers, BBQ, Steaks/Chops, Firm salty cheeses.
