The classic cuvée 2022 Gigondas Tradition Le Grand Montmirail from this terrific estate is a solid example of the vintage, with ripe, sunny aromatics of red fruits, dried flowers, and Provençal garrigue as well as a more medium-bodied, elegant, streamlined style on the palate. I love its overall balance, and it brings good richness and depth while staying light on its feet. This cuvée is 70% Grenache and the balance Cinsault, Syrah, and Mourvèdre, aged 60% in vats and 40% in 2- to 4-year-old demi-muids.

The 2022 Gigondas Tradition Le Grand Montmirail is made from certified organic Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvèdre and Syrah. Distinctive hazelnut and strawberry scents emerge, followed by hints of ripe raspberry and dried herbs. This is a medium-bodied, moderately concentrated wine that shows meticulous balance.
