Wine Spectator: "Bodegas Juan Gil has become a Spanish wine powerhouse under the guidance of the family's fourth generation."
This drinks like a much more expensive wine, with explosive aromas of currant, cassis and boysenberry accented by smoky spice. Almost opaque purple in color, it was aged in French oak for 12 months, lending extra depth and complexity to the grape's characteristic ripe, dark fruit. The palate is smooth as silk, with a finish lingering of vanilla and toast.
So delicious on its own, this makes a natural partner to grilled meats and is a go-to for charcuterie and cheese. Its richness and complexity also make it fun to pair with Korean, Chinese and Indian fare.

Rich and fruity, but also deep, with ripe blackberries, figs, spice and dark chocolate on the nose. Just a hint of dried fruit here. This is restrainedly generous with a medium to full body, showing creamy tannins and a flavorful finish. A very solid monastrell. From organically grown grapes. Vegan.
