Domaine Faiveley Mercurey Blanc 2020
Mercurey; located in the Côte Chalonnaise is the largest appellation in all of Burgundy with over 1600 acres under vine. Domaine Faiveley’s village Mercurey Blanc is sourced from 3 parcels in the heart of the appellation that total to 7.29 acres. Vines date back as far as 1974 and soils are primarily clay and limestone.
The Mercurey Chardonnay from Faiveley is a very elegant Chardonnay with a nose that exudes fruity and floral notes. The harmonious structure on the palate of this Mercurey leaves a pleasant freshness. Part of the wine has been aged in barrels for 16 months. This wine has developed beautiful secondary aromas of vanilla and cedar. Ideal served either as an aperitif or with a meal.
