The wine comes across as more savory than sweet showing notes of gravel, graphite, crushed rock, sage and black fruits. There's good extract to the wine which gives it a bone dry quality. The barrel program is nicely integrated and sweet oak tannin helps give the wine some generosity.

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon is a winner. Rocking levels of blue fruits, bay leaf, gamey meat, bay leaf, and bouquet garni notes all flow to a powerful, opulent, sexy wine that delivers fruit and texture in spades.

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is bold, luscious and absolutely delicious. Succulent dark cherry, plum, chocolate, licorice, spice and new leather are some of the notes that jump from the glass. Racy and open-knit, the 2017 Napa Valley Cabernet will thrill Rivers-Marie lovers. It is one of the sexier, more alluring appellation wines of the year; I loved it.
