This vast, 360-acre estate has produced a rich, generous wine in 2015. Its berry fruits are bold, ripe, full bodied and lifted by acidity. The wood aging (12 months) is very present but not at all excessive. Since it needs some time, drink from 2023.

Textbook, with light tar and singed tobacco streaks adding contrast to the mix of red and black currant fruit. A racy sanguine note underscores the finish, with a frame of singed cedar all around as well. Drink now through 2020. 60,000 cases made.

Super-ripe black cherry, bittersweet chocolate, spice and new leather are all amped up the 2015 Tour Prignac. This is in an especially opulent, ripe style. To me, it is a bit on the heavy side, especially with regard to the 60% new oak. The blend is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot.
