Tua Rita Perlato del Bosco Rosso 2017
A silky, polished red with berries, chocolate, hazelnuts and a hint of dry earth on the nose. Medium to full body, firm, silky tannins and a fresh, bright finish. Needs time to come together.
The 2017 Perlato del Bosco (100% Sangiovese) is bright, punchy and easy to like. In 2017, the warm, dry growing season baked out some of the Sangiovese - always a challenge in Suvereto - and yet, the Perlato retains a good bit of freshness and aromatic lift. I would prefer to drink the 2017 sooner rather than later, while the red Sangiovese fruit remains bright.
