Wine structured and long-lasting color with and intense ruby red with light orange highlights; intense nose with notes of cherry, vanilla, cinnamon and licorice and sweet tobacco. Austere taste, balanced with pleasant tannins with a lingering finish and harmonious.

The sternness of Mosconi is tamed here with an astonishing balance. It comes not by chance from a very clay-rich soil that performs particularly well in hot years such as this 2017 vintage. Rhubarb, rose, cinnamon and framboise are the four well-defined aromas characterizing the nose. The attack is surprisingly fleshy and vibrant - you don't want to spit it out! The wine is full and velvety, lifted with refreshing high acidity, and showing savory, ripe fruits on the endless finish.

A shy nose at first, but if you dig deep it smacks of terroir, offering ripe red berries with hints of wet stones and the promise of a truffle note. Medium-to full-bodied with refined, tight-grained tannins and a long finish that pushes a spicy wood note to the fore for now. All in balance and focus.
