Fresh cranberry and Bing cherry are enlivened by orange zest, a sprinkling of pepper and soil, and final whisper of dark chocolate. Fresh and crunchy is the vibe, confirmed by tannins that are still structured but broken in, like a good pair of jeans.

A medium-to full-bodied Chianti Classico with fresh strawberries, grapefruit, raspberries, and a herbal undertone. This is juicy and transparent with a tight, tannic structure. Not austere, though.

The 2020 Chianti Classico is a soft, easygoing wine to drink now and over the next handful of years. Sweet dried cherry, mint, spice, cedar, tobacco and incense give this mid-weight Chianti Classico lovely aromatic presence to match its mid-weight personality.
