With 100% pure Blue Weber agave aged in the finest American Oak barrels, 1953 brings out the natural flavors of agave while giving notes of caramel and vanilla and hints of citrus and chocolate.
Aged in vintage American oak barrels previously used to age premium bourbon, resulting in complex flavors and a smooth, refined finish. We spent years sampling different barrels to ensure that our aging process resulted in the smoothest, most decadent flavors. Sourced and produced by local families whose stories are rooted in the traditions and natural beauty of Mexico. Our agave farms have been owned by one family for four generations, and our distillery has only changed hands once in over 135 years.
With a chemical engineering degree and a commitment to honoring the traditions and natural characteristics of agave, our master distiller melds science, tradition, and her standout talent to craft a wholly authentic, wholly natural spirit to savor. Our proprietary yeast is formulated to showcase the natural flavors of agave and highlight notes of caramel and vanilla with hints of citrus and chocolate. Slow-roasted, mature agave, extracted, distilled, and aged to perfection to let natural flavors fully develop.
